Practical guidance for early childhood teachers, Te Kohanga Reo kaiako, home-based educators, Playcentre, play groups and anyone involved in early childhood education.

This programme is designed to ensure that people working with young children have the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to recognise and respond appropriately to suspected child abuse and in particular childhood sexual abuse. The programme deals with aspects of the Vulnerable Children Act (2014) as well as understanding and managing childhood sexual behaviours. It gives practical guidance on working with families and children around safety and body awareness.

Light refreshments from 5.20pm.
